The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, "Here it is," or "There it is" because the kingdom of God is within you.

(Luke 17:20)

A weekly time for prayer

Mondays @ 1:30 pm

Join us on Tuesdays at Chappell Hill United Methodist Church for fellowship and a time of prayer,

based on the teachings of Lawrence Freeman, a Benedictine Monk and the founder of World Community for Christian Meditation.

Christian Contemplative Prayer is a non-denominational spiritual practice that has ancient roots and contemporary relevance.

It can help you reduce stress, improve your health, and better appreciate life's gifts.

Most important of all, it can help you feel more centered in God's boundless love.

Learn to listen to God in God's own language:

the language of Mystery and Silence.

The all-important aim in Christian Contemplative Prayer is to allow God's mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality in our lives; to let it become the reality which gives meaning to everything we do, everything we are.
