The Men of the Church

The United Methodist Men's group is an organized unit of men whose purpose is to develop creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the ministries of the church.  This group meets at 6:30 pm on the Third Tuesday of each month.  

The UMM provides a ministry that appeals to men.  It has been found that in families where the husband attends church, the majority of the family is more likely to attend that church than in families where the wife attends without the husband. 

The UMM provides a service to CHUMC of contacting members, checking on their welfare and if we have not seen them at church for a while, letting them know they are missed.  The UMM hosts an annual fund raising stew or chili lunch, the proceeds of which support otherwise un-budgeted church needs.  The UMM also has work days to perform needed services for CHUMC buildings and grounds including carpentry and painting.
